EMBED: Education about the
Management of Binge Eating Disorder

RACGP Accredited CPD Activity and GPMHSC MH CPD Activity: 4-step Blended Learning Program (40 CPD points)

Participate in a comprehensive training program that supports GPs to:

  • Recall the latest evidence on the scope and impact of unmanaged BED
  • Explain the neurobiological and cognitive models of BED and its comorbidities
  • Identify and screen patients at risk of BED
  • Navigate the MBS items and health services available for patients with BED
  • Prepare a referral plan for the management of a patient with BED

To qualify for 40 CPD points, participants will need to complete the 4 steps in the EMBED blended learning program:

  • Step 1: 1-hour online learning component
  • Step 2: 2-hour live webinar
  • Step 3: Two x 2-hour online case study-based practical skills workshops
  • Step 4: Patient identification reinforcing activity

Participants can choose to complete Steps 2 and 3 on one of the following dates:

Sunday 21 November 2021
(09:00-16:30 AEDT) or

Saturday 5 March 2022
(09:00-16:30 AEDT)
